Poetry in Flagrante (Catalog) ✨

Poetry in Flagrante is the signature body of work by multidisciplinary artist Silvia Passiflora — a Southern Gothic Folk poet-songwriter with nearly 2,000 poems, a growing body of poetic screenplays, and two Grammy®-considered albums on ukulele and banjo. Across forms, her work offers safe passage past life’s cliffhangers.

Passiflora's poems are dispatches from an ongoing practice, each one small enough to hold in the hand and strange enough to stay. She finds the sublime in the kitchen, the porch screen, the card table at midnight, working in the Southern Gothic tradition at its quietest register: neither spectacle or grotesque, but in the full weight of ordinary objects when they are looked at long enough.

Her catalog deepens in compression as it grows — shorter, sharper, more formally confident — the sign of a poet who has written her way through to her own ear. The thematic heart of her work is safe passage: the belief that a poem is not only about its maker, but written for the reader who recognized the narrow crossing from inside their own water.

Her debut poetry collection, Aurora Cantus: A Poet's Book of Hours (Scriptaluna Press, 2026), are her first 33 poems sent out into the wild.
